Once you have your METROeCart Ecommerce website setup, you will need to create accounts with your bank and the credit card companies. Once those are setup, you will need a Gateway Account. METROeCart is compatible with most payment gateways.
How the Payment Process works
- Your Website
Your website collects the credit card transaction information. - Gateway Service
From your website, a credit card transaction is submitted via secure connection to the Payment Gateway for processing. - Credit Approval
The Credit Card Issuer approves or declines the transaction based on the customer's available funds and sends the results to your Gateway Service. - Your Bank Account
The Payment Gateway stores the transaction results, sends approved or decline transaction information to your website, and transfers any money directly into your bank account.
